Community Giving

Our success comes from our community...and with that success also comes the opportunity to give back. At Aurora Title, we value the chance to better our community by partnering with local nonprofits that are dedicated to making our community, and the world, a better place. In addition to participating in fundraising events throughout the year, a portion of our settlement fee for each transaction is donated directly to one of our charity partners.

Help us help our community! Please take a moment to learn more about our nonprofit partners and why we support them.

Comfort Zone Camp

Comfort Zone Camp is a bereavement camp that transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or legal guardian. The free camps include confidence building programs and age-based support groups that break the emotional isolation grief often brings.

Why Dawn chose this organization:

“Having lost my dad at 13, and not knowing how to cope or respond to peoples’ sympathy, it would have helped a lot to spend time with others going through the same situation. This organization provides counseling and grief management services, which I feel is vital for children who have lost someone special.”

Worthdays

Worthdays is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Richmond, Virginia whose mission is to ensure that those impacted by the foster care system know that they are important, worthy and celebrated. We will do this by celebrating them on the important days in their lives! Through the excitement of celebrating, we hope to engage our community in a way that will raise awareness and increase positive outcomes for the foster care system!

Why Sallie chose this organization:

“As a mother of two boys, I know the excitement and joy that special days, especially birthdays, bring to children. While I am lucky enough to be able to give this joy to my children, there are hundreds of children in our local community who never experience the simple love of birthday gift, cake or party. Worthdays strives to make sure all children feel loved on their special day, which has an enormous impact on children as well as the community who cares for them, loves them, and helps them be their best.”

ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation

ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation provides assistance, support, and kindness when our kids and their families need it most. From the moment of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond, ASK is there to help. We know that the effects of cancer can last long after treatment ends so we’re there to support both our survivors and our bereaved families. We also know that a cancer diagnosis can affect the entire family so our services extend to parents, caregivers and siblings.

Why Holly chose this organization:

“My daughter was diagnosed with leukemia as an infant. While she was undergoing lifesaving treatment at VCU Medical Center, ASK was able to help answer questions and provided a sense of security and normalcy for my daughter. Now, 16 years later, they are still there to help with any educational concerns and survivor needs for families who often feel isolated and overwhelmed.”
